Tunnel from a German manufacturer specifically designed for the installation of an underground drainage field and serves for the disposal of treated wastewater and stormwater. To allow passenger car access, the minimum soil backfill layer must be at least 500 mm. If the area above the drainage is pedestrian, the soil layer can be min. 250 mm. The advantage of these tunnels is that they can be stacked on top of each other during transport and storage, significantly reducing transport costs. Drainage tunnels are installed in one or several rows. Depending on the degree of soil water saturation, they can either drain or accumulate water. The advantage of drainage tunnels is natural water filtration through the soil, which is especially important near large industrial enterprises. Infiltration tunnels ideally combine with septic tanks of any manufacturer, completing wastewater treatment effectively.
